Michael Hirsch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gorgen-McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home on Feb. 24, 2026.
Hollandale – Michael John "Stick" Hirsch, age 69 passed away February 22, 2026. Born July 1, 1956 to Keith & Evalyn (Cooley) Hirsch.

Well, Class of 1974 Mt. Horeb Vikings, you lost another one.

I'd like to thank my children, their spouses and grandchildren for all of their help: Jesse, Jackie (Black), Tayte, Madalyn, Chayse & Cayle. Matthew, Amanda (Guse), Xavier, Violet and Maddux. Theresa (Hirsch), Jeremy Wiley, Sutton and Auden. Once again, thank you, love all of you.

I enjoyed watching my children and grandchildren in their events, helping them, and watching them grow into the young men and women they are today. In my free time I also enjoyed woodworking, road trips with Ray J, and Wednesday nights at the Gant Farm "milking".

I'm survived by my children, grandchildren, siblings Steve, Marcia (Chuck Christy) and Dianne, nephew and nieces Adam, Erin, Catherine, Christina, Katie and Lynn.

I'm preceded in death by my parents and my brother Greg.

There will be no wake or funeral per my wishes, but a celebration of life will be held at the HOOTERVILLE INN in Blue Mounds on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

I want to thank the Upland Hills Hospice team (especially Ashley) for their care. The family also extends their thanks to Hospice and Upland Hills Hospital staff.

The sun has set upon me. Time to say goodbye!
