Michael Ray House Age 64
October 26th 1961 - February 15th 2026

Michael peacefully passed through the veil to return to His Father in Heaven on Sunday February 15th, 2026, after a hard fought valiant fight with cancer.

A resident of Denison Texas, Michael was born and raised in Denison. Michael was a Professional Dry Waller and a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army. Michael had recently returned to his home in Carpenters Bluff, and to the Red River that he loved that was a part of him. Reuniting with his family here was a desire of Michaels for many years and brought him incredible joy.

Beloved husband of Katie Irene House (Rose), Michael will be remembered by her for his ability to love beyond all she ever knew was possible.
Preceded in death by his father Wilson J House and mother Joyce Gayle (Grooms) House. Also preceded in death by his Step Daughter Valarie Kay Wydock and his Nephew William (Billy) George Platt. Michael is survived by his devoted wife Katie, his Step son Robert L Wydock III and wife Angel, Grandchildren Aslan Wydock and wife Katie, Robert L Wydock IV, Hayden Wydock, Arabella Wydock, and Rose Michelle Wydock (named Michelle after Michael), also survived by his sister Patricia Wilson and husband Mark and his sister Roberta Starr and husband Bobby. Nieces Amanda Magdalinos and husband Bryan Greenfarb, Brittany Munson and husband Badgett, Jessica Platt and husband Chris Laman and Kristina Pierson, Nephews Nathan Sexton and Bryton Starr. Great niece Kindell Steele, Amberly Jinkins and great nephews Jordan Sonntag, Kyler Wright and Braydon Laman.

Michael was a caring, charitable, loving, giving, wonderful, talented, and strong man who raised himself in his life above any missteps he ever made. Michael mastered almost all he touched, he loved dancing, music, carpentry, mechanics and online gaming. A devoted son of God and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In his later years, his faith could be felt by all he met. A father figure to many, instilling lasting values and showing in life that anything can be conquered and redemption gained through repentance and submission to Jesus Christ and the gift of the Atonement He offers us. Michael was so much to so many. Known by many as simply "Cowboy". Michael will be deeply missed and forever lovingly remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1900 W Lamberth Rd Sherman Texas on Saturday March 21st 2026 at 11:00 am. The Memorial Service will also be streamed on YouTube: Sherman Church of Jesus Christ Building.
