The family of Michael Lee Hughlett Sr., who passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, invites loved ones to join them in honoring his remarkable life and enduring legacy.

Michael was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 59 years, Sharon Hughlett; a loving father; proud grandfather; and cherished friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Hughlett, and his brother, Joseph Hughlett.

He is lovingly survived by his children: Christine (Hughlett) Badger and her husband David Badger, and their children Emily and William Badger, Michael Lee Hughlett Jr. and his wife Lindsey Hughlett, and their daughters Lacey, Michayla, Juliana, and Serena.

A man of intellect, faith, and heart, Michael spent his career as an aerospace engineer and was a proud member of both SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) and Pi Tau Sigma. He had a passion for reading, genealogy, family time, and astronomy, often marveling at the wonders of the universe.

A lifelong and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Michael served in many roles, including ward clerk, executive secretary, Sunday school teacher, and ministering brother, generously offering his time and wisdom to support others.

Places like Hawaii, Branson, and Joplin held special meaning for him and his family—each one filled with memories and laughter.

Michael will be remembered for his wisdom, intelligence, and gift for storytelling—always accompanied by his infectious laughter and kind spirit.

The family warmly invites all who knew and loved Michael to join them in celebrating a life beautifully lived.
