Michael Lynn Hull, a cherished member of the Rotan community, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on December 12, 1953, in Rotan, Texas, to John L. and Eula Mae (Reep) Hull, Mike lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and community service.
Mike had a long-standing career with the John Deere House in Rotan, where he worked for over four decades, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike. His commitment to excellence was evident in every task he undertook, as he endeavored to provide the best service possible.
A proud graduate of Hobbs High School, Mike was not only dedicated to his work but also to his community. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rotan, where he was known for his engaging spirit and service-oriented mindset. His contributions to the community were numerous; he volunteered with the Rotan Fire Department, dedicated time to the Little League as president, and played an essential role in the 4-H exchange program including the many thousands of miles he drove the youth of the area all around the United States. Voted man of the year, Mike's impact on those around him was profound.
Described as happy and loving, Mike held family as a top priority in his life. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course and had a passion for refereeing sports, engaging with both athletes and fans in the most enjoyable of ways. His legacy will be remembered through the many lives he touched with his kindness and willingness to help.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Hull; his daughter, Traci Heflin: his son, Michael Hull and wife, Natalie; his sister, Reva Jo Harbin, his sister-in-law, Shirley Hull; his sister Brenda Oliver and husband, Wylie, and his sister Cathy Thomson and husband, Perry; his mother-in-law, Loretta Daniel; and his brother-in-law, Terry Daniel; as well as his cherished grandsons, Michael Luke Hull and Tyler Anglin. Uncle Mike also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him. Mike had a host of friends, and he deeply cherished those relationships.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Eula Mae Hull; his brother, Donald Hull; his father-in-law, Toad Daniel; and brother-in-law, Tommy Harbin.
Visitation will be held at Weathersbee Ray Funeral Home in Rotan on October 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service to honor Mike’s life will take place at the First Baptist Church on October 9, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, concluding with a meaningful tribute to a life well-lived at Belvieu Cemetery.
Mike Hull's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family and community will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and all who knew him.
