Michael Walter Ingling (1977-2025) passed away on Monday, June 9, due to complications from Myotonic Dystrophy (DM1). He is survived by his older brother, Daniel, his wife, Bethany, and his half-sister, Joni Regn. In addition, nieces Kylie Ingling, Megan Miksitz, and Ashtyn Miller; nephews Hunter Ingling, Zach Miksitz, and Josh Blackwell. He was predeceased by his mother, Elaine Ingling, nee Engle; father, Leo Ingling; and brother, Thomas Ingling. Mike enjoyed bowling with family, friends, and on the Lenape High School bowling team. He was an avid toy collector and attended shows with friends. He loved '80s music and spending time with family. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan, but we all loved him anyway.Michael was diagnosed with DM1 at age 16, followed by a lifetime of challenges brought on by this multi-systemic and debilitating disease. Michael's final wishes were to contribute to the research of DM1. Stanford University is making this wish a reality. Michael also wanted to donate his ICD (pacemaker/defibrillator) to help someone in need. Through Project My Heart Your Heart, the recipient of his ICD will be from one of several countries where it is difficult to get these lifesaving devices.Depending on who you talked to, he was just Mike or even Mikey to some, but he was kind and generous with his time and love to everyone in his life. People often said that they received the first Birthday or Christmas card of the year from Mike. He always made time for the people he cared about and visited them as often as possible. He was especially connected to his Aunt Floss, her children, and all her grandchildren. He spent most of his life surrounded by the Regn/Allison family, but especially after his mother passed away in 2017. When he could no longer drive in the last few months, he missed being able to visit his family. He will be remembered fondly by everyone whose lives he touched, and he can rest peacefully knowing he brought a smile to everyone.Memorial services will be private at his request.
