Michael Carl Iverson, age 68, of Winona, MN, died unexpectedly Friday, August 15, 2025 at his home.
Michael was born May 9, 1957, in Spring Grove, MN, the son of Melvin and Clarissa (Housker) Iverson. He moved to Winona in 1959, and was a lifelong Winona resident. He graduated from Winona High School. Mike retired from Miller Felpax after 29 years. Mike loved traveling up north and out west, taking many trips out to the Dakotas, Montana, Oregon and California. He also enjoyed making a pit stop at Wall Drug during his trips. He loved all animals, but especially his cats. Mike was an amateur radio operator, and was able to connect to people all over the world. Mike was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. He was an active member of the Winona Friendship Center, and spent countless hours at the Wellness Center where he made many good friends. He loved spending time with all of his nieces and nephews, especially around the holidays.
He is survived by his siblings: Earl Quinnell, and Carol (Loran) Paetzel of Winona; and nieces and nephews: Scott, Angela, Melissa (Mike), Sarah, and Taylor (Justin); aunt, Lois (Dave) Schultz; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister Elsie (Bob) Googins.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 1-3pm at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona. In honor of Mike, please wear your Minnesota Twins attire, or your favorite Wellness Center shirt!
Memorials are preferred to the Winona Friendship Center.
