Michael was the baby of the family, born in Mount Clemens and grew up in New Haven. He was blessed to have been born into the large and loving Churchill and Jenks families. He graduated from New Haven High School with the Class of 2003. He was a varsity athlete competing in Football, Basketball and Track and Field. He was a volunteer for the New Haven Fire Department. He was a smart, fun loving all around good guy. He was the big giant that liked to toss around and play with the kids, including three of his own. He enjoyed traveling, such as going on cruises, riding ATV's on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and snowboarding in Vermont. He also enjoyed campfires, tinkering around on vehicles, riding the jet ski, spending time in Caseville and working the family business.
Michael is survived by his children, Dylan Michael Jenks and Ryan Kathleen Jenks (mother Sarah Detrick) and Tristan James Jenks (mother Crystal Duchscher), parent; Michael Jenks Sr., siblings; Terri Mikolowski, Charles Gauthier, Jr., Christine (Daniel) Scarlotta, Stephanie (Kenneth) Carter, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jenks.
The family would like to request "in lieu of flowers" - donations can be made to the Mary M Jenks Scholarship Fund - New Haven Alumni Association PO Box 480574 New Haven, MI 48048
