Michael "Midge" Gray Jennings, 71, of Fernandina Beach, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of September 16, 2025.
Michael was born October 6, 1953, in Jacksonville, FL. He was a lifelong resident of Fernandina and a reputable carpenter.
Midge married Rosa Morton in 1973. Their relationship birthed a family of three daughters: Stacy Lynn Jennings (Ray Pugliesi) El Cerrito, CA. Laura Jennings Rish (Jason Rish) Kingston, TN. and Rosa Dale Jennings Knoxville, TN.
Midge was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Lou Williams, and adoptive father, Allen Jennings; his brothers, Ovidine Davis, Art Davis, and Robert Powers; and his sister, Janie Jennings.
Midge is survived by his sister, Una Faye Goss, his two brothers, William "Bill" Powers, and Kenneth "Tadpole" Jennings, and grandchildren, Michaela Rose Pugliesi and Vincent Talon Pugliesi of California, Logan Rish and Ali Rish of Tennessee. Midge also leaves behind Rosa Morton Jennings, the mother of his children, with whom he shared many cherished memories.
Funeral arrangements will take place at Oxley-Heard on Friday, September 26th, 2025.
Family and Friends Fellowship will be held from 10AM- 12pm with a memorial service to begin at 12 PM. He will be laid to rest in the Williams plot at Hughes Cemetery in Yulee, FL.
