Michael Patrick Johnson, age 45, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at his home in Benton, MO.
He was born August 13, 1980, at South County Hospital in St. Louis, MO, to Theresa Jean Allen (Kevin) Garrison and the late Donald Patrick Johnson, Sr. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Barbara Nolen Allen.
Michael graduated from Sikeston High School in 1998 where he was a member of both the football and wrestling teams.
One of his proudest moments was becoming a member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club. Riding his Harley with his brothers was his favorite pastime and one he always looked forward to. Teddy Bear, or TB as he was affectionately known by the club, was well loved and respected by all, for his steadfast loyalty and dependability. Brotherhood meant everything to him. One his favorite quotes was “You don’t have to be same blood to be family.” LPDP.
Michael was always the life of the party. His charisma made it impossible not to love him and he easily made friends wherever he went. He was one of the funniest people you could every meet and was a gifted storyteller, as those who knew him could attest.
The world lost a bright soul who touched the hearts and lives of so many. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, Theresa and Keith Garrison, he is survived by his daughter, Kyleigh-Ann Courtaway; step children, Brianna (Travis) Adams and Gaige (Isabella) Adams and their families; his sister, Christina (Eddie) Perez; his brother, Donald (Jen) Johnson, Jr.; nephews, Cody Johnson, Rhett Pruitt and Ryley Johnson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Arrangements will be shared for a celebration of life at a later date.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
