Michael Joiner Obituary
Michael was born on July 16, 1964, in Chicago's Canaryville neighborhood, the son of John L. Joiner and Mary Moran. He graduated from De La Salle High School and went on to work for the City of Chicago as a driver, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Michael shared a lifelong bond with Kelly Joiner. Together they raised three daughters: Jessica (Taylor) Stricklin, Kerry Joiner, and Morgan Joiner. He was the proud grandfather of Cash Stricklin. Loving brother of Debbie (Dan) Simon, John (Elle) Joiner, and James (Kim) Joiner; cherished uncle of Dan (Eileen) Simon and Kaitlyn Simon; Krista (Jim) Carlson, Kimberly (Brett) Barnes, and the late Jonathan Joiner; and Abigail (Cole) Mowery and Lauren Joiner.
Rooster had a passion for University of Michigan football and Angels baseball, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his teams. A true Canaryville native, he valued the friendships he made throughout his life, especially with his lifelong crew, the "Mud Rats," whose loyalty and laughter meant the world to him. Michael will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, and his larger-than-life presence.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.

Mike,
I´ll love you forever! Death doesn´t mean goodbye. I´ll still talk to you everyday. You are in Heaven now which is the Ultimate Victory. Jesus Lives in Your Heart Forever! Mike,
I never had the chance to meet you, but I did get the chance to fall in love with your daughter. Through her and her sisters, I can see the impact you made-three amazing women who constantly speak about your humor, your personality, and the countless memories you gave them.
