Michael Jones Obituary
Michael's life was marked by his passion and peacemaking nature. He was the heart of his family, always involved and endlessly compassionate. His honesty and wisdom guided many, and he was widely respected and loved for his strong devotion to his wife and children.
He is survived by an extensive family who cherished him deeply: his wife, Janet Jones; children, Heather and Joe Cerda, Megan and Mark Formosa, Kaylen and Chris Garcia, and Nathan Jones; grandchildren, Kailee and Clancy Smith, Jacob Costa, Collin Formosa, Ayden Formosa, Lennon Garcia, Mia Garcia, Madelyn Vela, Joey Cerda, Averie Garcia, Liam Garcia, and Layton Garcia; great-grandchildren, Cyrus Costa, Declyn Smith, and Leo Vela; sister, Patricia and Billy Joe Buckaloo; and sister, Linda and Ed Wilcoxson. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Durward Jones, and brothers, Durward, Andrew, and Anthony Jones.
A man of many interests, Michael enjoyed playing the guitar, cheering for the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, and most importantly, spending precious time with his grandchildren and family.
A service to honor Michael's life will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 1600 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX, on November 6, 2025, at noon.
Flowers, plants, or contributions in Michael's memory can be made to Dachshund Lovers of Texas Rescue at DLTRescue.org. His legacy will continue to inspire and influence everyone who knew him.
