Michael Lynn Jones, 54, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. He was born October 26, 1971 in Aberdeen to the late Billie Joe Jones and Estelle Davis Jones. Michael attended Hatley School. Learning to roof at a young age, Michael was a self employed roofer his entire life. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed hunting, playing pool, riding motorcycles, fishing and collecting hot wheel cars. He was a MSU fan and a member of GMT Hunting Club.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jennifer Jones; sons, Justin Jones (Chelsea) and Austin Jones (Ashley); daughters, Kaylin Taylor (Lucas), SkiLynn Hand (Ember), Hope Jones and Cherish Jones; brothers, Billie James Jones (BJ), Cecil Wayne Jones (Tonya), Roger Jones (Teresa) and Robert Jones (Karen); sisters, Mary Jones, JoAnn Baker (Keith) and Diane Fiske (Chuck); grandchildren, Tristan Jones, Caiden Jones, Logan Jones, Devyn Jones, Evelyn Taylor, Stormi Eckford, Mylan Eckford and Marley Beasley; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Gail and a brother, Anthony Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Justin Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie West, Chris Whitworth, Jody Jones and Billie James Jones, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the funeral home.
