Frances Varnon O'Neill Adams Presley, 94, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at River Place Nursing Center in Amory. She was born in Amory on January 11, 1931 to the late Clint Carlton Varnon and Mila Ree Bowman Varnon. Frances was a graduate of Amory High School and had a longtime career as a seamstress in the area garment industry. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and reading. Frances was a devoted and faithful Christian, prayer warrior and friend to many throughout her years. She was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church and had recently been attending Nettleton Presbyterian Church. She went on many mission trips and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Frances lived her life by her faith and was a shining light to all who knew her.
Frances is survived by her brother, John Varnon, GA; son in law, Larry Tubb, Amory; sister, Kathy Epling (Jeff), Caledonia; grandchildren, Lana Glasgow (Adam), Amory, Larry Tubb II (Kristy), Madison, MS, Walter Foster (JoAnne), Amory and Charles Foster (Sherri), Amory; 10 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, church family and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Merle Presley; a sister, Martha Linley; daughters, Julia Carole Hall, Susan O'Neill Tubb and Nancy Lee Foster.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Larry Tubb,II, Bro. Danny Powell and Bro. Jack Inmon officiating. Burial will follow in Amory Historical Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in Frances's memory to the Gideon's International.
