Michael H. Kaiser

Michael H. Kaiser, 78, of Hastings, died on January 13, 2025, at Mary Lanning Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until services begin. Burial will follow services at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings.

Michael was born on March 18, 1946, in Clearmont, MO, to Reuben and Marcella (Russell) Kaiser. He grew up in Hastings and received his education at Hastings Senior High School, graduating in 1964.

He was united in marriage to Rosilyn Jacobs on September 13, 1965, in Smith Center, KS. The couple lived in Hastings where he was employed by Metz Bakery for many years. He also worked at Queen City Laundry for several years and at K-Mart after he retired.

He loved fishing, camping, and hunting in his younger days. His most favorite thing was Husker Football, and he was thrilled to see them make a bowl game this year.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Tracey Chaney) Kaiser, daughter, Michele (Dale) Martin, and brother, Danny Joe (Ruth) Kaiser.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rosilyn, and sister, Beverly J. Bruning.
