Michael Arthur Kenney was finally reunited with his beloved, Ruth "Jane" Kenney, (who preceded him by thirteen years), on August 1, 2026. He was born April 14, 1934, in New York, NY. Mike was the product of WWII, as his father, Arthur Kenney, was serving in the Merchant Marines and his mother, Constance Dwan Kenney, was a nurse. His military education began at Saint Clement Military Academy as a youngster shortly after his father died while serving. His mother subsequently married a Navy Admiral named Wylie who helped shape his teenage years in Miami Beach society and sent him to his alma mater, Bolles, a preparatory military academy through high school.

During 8th grade in Miami, a brief stint between the two schools, he met the love of his life, Janie Chaples, the Captain of the cheerleaders and his future wife of sixty (60) years. Together they had three children: Kathleen Susan (Ft Rucker, AL), Michael Allen (Nierenberg, Germany), and Constance Ellen (Ft Eustis, VA) Kenney.

Mike Kenney was larger than life and loved just as big. Mike and Jane, and family, traveled the world together, military style, for 21 years (19 moves). His military career, highlighted by Viet Nam, was brilliant. It allowed him to fly his beloved Schnooks and Hueys to his hearts content. After retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 4, they returned to their home state of Florida where he opened his own real estate company for another twenty years, (much of which he did again, from the air; This time in a Cessna). When his airtime ran out, they traveled all over the Treasure Coast, Bahamas, Keys, and Costa Rica in a dual mast sailboat. Then travelled the States and Canada by RVs and finally, they worked down to ATVs on trips in the Utah mountains.

He is survived by his three children, Kathy Kenney (Brian), Michael Kenney (Isaac, Sean Michael), and Constance Kenney (Shauna, Erica Jane, Jenny), and Janes' family, Janis, Alison and Tim, his cousins, Aileen Dwan, Peter Dwan, Pat Dwan, Marilyn Dwan Kline, and preceded by many, long-time, beloved military brothers/friends.

A Graveside Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Open-Air Chapel at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Hoevel-Barnett V.F.W. Post #1341 in Bull Shoals.

Memorial contributions may be made to "Wounded Warriors Project".
