Much loved partner, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend.
Michael "Mike" Harrison Kent, 76, of Waynesville went to his Heavenly Home on November 8, 2025. He was born September 21, 1949 in Newport, Tennessee, to the late Charles and Mary Jo Harrison Kent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Kent; a daughter Angie Grant, and a niece Angela Kent.
Mike made his home in the serene mountains, where he found joy in the breath taking views. Mike found a great passion being a drummer, playing with the Illusions Band and the Franklin Freight Train Band. His love for classic rock and roll resonated through every beat he played, bringing joy to those who had the pleasure of listening to him. Beyond music, he had a profound affection for classic cars and spent many moments cherishing those timeless machines.
He is survived by his life partner, Patricia Farmer, his brother Wayne Kent and his wife Judy, multiple grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to your favorite charity.
