Donald John Anderson, a devoted husband, proud veteran, and lifelong racing enthusiast, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born with a passion for speed and a love for life, Don found joy in the roar of engines and the thrill of competition. A true fan of all things racing, he especially loved NASCAR, and NHRA circuit. Some of his happiest memories were made traveling across the country with the love of his life, his beloved wife attending races, exploring new places, and meeting fellow fans who shared their enthusiasm for the sport.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Marines, where he learned discipline, teamwork, and perseverance values he carried throughout his life. Where he also played football, channeling his drive and competitive spirit on the field. After serving his country he retired from the US Postal Service as a City Carrier.
A passionate collector, Don, had an impressive collection of diecast NASCAR cars and antique model cars, each one holding a special story. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan, cheering on his team through every season with unwavering loyalty.
Those who knew Don will remember his big heart, his sense of humor, and his dedication to the people and passions he loved most. He will be deeply missed but forever celebrated for the life he lived and the joy he shared.
Left to cherish Donald's memory is his loving wife Joan Anderson along with numerous family and friends.
