Michael T. Keough ObituaryMichael Thomas Keough, age 78, passed peacefully away, surrounded by family, on July 4, 2025 following a long illness.
Mike was the beloved husband of Nancy (Cunha) Keough for 53 years and a devoted father to Amy Keough and Matthew Keough, both of Arlington, He was the loving brother of Daniel Keough of Boston and the late James Keough Jr. of Marshfield. Mike was also proud to be a "dog father" to his beloved family dogs, Kloe and the late Lola.
Born in Cambridge, MA on November 7, 1946, to the late Catherine (Davin) Keough and James Keough, a Boston Police officer, Mike spent his childhood in Dorchester and joined the Navy as a teenager.
Mike was a proud and active member of "Teamsters Local 25" for 50 years and was proud to have been a part of local TV and film productions ranging from Spenser for Hire to The Departed with many others in between.
After his years with the Teamsters, Mike found a second work family at Buckingham Brown and Nichols, where he worked for 14 years as a driver for various sports teams-a part-time job that quickly became one of the more fulfilling experiences of Mike's life.
During his last two and a half years, Mike experienced numerous lengthy hospital stays. But thanks to the efforts of Mike's inexhaustible wife along with the dedicated care the wonderful doctors and staff at MGH, Mike was able to remain in his beloved home with his loved ones, in his favorite chair, surrounded by his collection of books and classic films.
Mike was a devoted follower of the Boston Celtics who held season tickets the "Old Garden," and he cherished his trips with his wife to Ft. Meyers for Red Sox spring training. He was a lifelong fan of the Patriots, and Villanova basketball and counted himself fortunate to witness four Red Sox World Series Championships and six Super Bowl wins.
Mike was a kind, easygoing, and hardworking Irishman who deeply loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Keough has been our next door neighbor for the last 19 years. He´s always been so kind to us. Our favorite memories are of him talking and petting our golden retriever, Murfy, over the fence whenever he was outside. They were sweet buddies. Rest In Peace, dear neighbor.

Mike was a dear friend for 53 years. One of my fondest memories was Mike and I, taking my son Al David and his daughter Amy to the Star Market, at the age of 2, on sleds, after the Blizzard Of 78, to purchase Milk and Bread. My heart goes out to Nancy, Amy and Mathew.
