Michael Kessinger Obituary
56 year old, Michael ‘Mike’ Kessinger, of DeMotte, passed away December 17, 2024 at home with his loving family surrounding him.
On May 11, 1968, Michael was born to Martin ‘Lyle’ and Esther (Feleki) Kessinger in Valparaiso, Indiana. Mike was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School, class of 1986. He worked as a mechanic at Charlie Roberts in Rensselaer, and Advanced Auto Parts in DeMotte. Mike loved camping, hunting, fishing and trips to Las Vegas. He enjoyed working on cars, cooking, and smoking meats.
Mike is survived by his children: Katelynd Kessinger, Zachary Kessinger, his mother: Esther Kessinger, and grandpup: Miller.
Mike was preceded in death by his father: Lyle Kessinger.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 (noon) p.m. at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A Friends and Family Service will be held at 12:00 (noon) p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Saint John Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kankakee Valley High School Band.
