Michael Kiser

Michael Kiser, 68, devoted husband, loving father, faithful friend, and jack of all trades, passed away on February 13, 2026 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH. Michael was born June 9, 1957 to Raymond and Nina (Osborne) Kiser in Mount Vernon, OH. There he would grow up, fall in love, start a family, and have a career he enjoyed. Most importantly to him, it was where he would watch his children start their own families, giving him seven grandchildren whom he adored.

Michael was a Supervisor in the Distribution Center at Ariel Corporation and retired in 2024. There were other jobs before Ariel, but none he loved as much or that brought him such pride.

He spent a lot of his early life fishing the local waterways and golfing the local courses. Golf was a passion he passed on first to his son Chris and then to Chris' son, Vincent; the three generations of Kisers could frequently be spotted on the links, hopefully in the fairway.

There wasn't much Mike couldn't do or figure out. As his children started their families he was called upon frequently, much to his delight. He would help with home projects, repair anything mechanical, and be a calm presence offering guidance and support (perhaps his favorite role).

He loved his family so very much, and as it grew, his focus shifted entirely to them. Whether his children or his grandchildren, he was always there for them in anything they chose to do. From family vacations to hanging out at home, he cherished every moment with his family. He was especially fond of watching his grandchildren at their many sporting events.

Michael is survived by his wife Brenda (Carder) Kiser whom he loved and cherished for 45 wonderful years; his children Brandon (Lezli) Styndl of Mount Vernon, OH, Cory Kiser of Columbus, OH, Christopher (Kayla) Kiser of Mount Vernon, OH, and Jeremy Kiser of Mount Vernon, OH; his beloved grandchildren Vincent, Gabriel and Nina Kiser, Lydia, Harley, Bailey and Kemper Styndl all of Mount Vernon OH; siblings Wanda Payne of Mount Vernon, OH, Raymond "Bud" (Marilyn) Kiser of Virginia, Darlene (Danny) Tedrow of Mount Vernon, OH; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Kiser.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Snyder Funeral Home - Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm with a Memorial Service at 6:00pm.
