Michael Klindt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roberson Funeral Home - Bethany on Jan. 2, 2026.
Michael Ross Klindt, 83 years old, (Bethany, MO) left this world to join his Savior, Jesus Christ, in

heaven on Friday, January 2, 2026, with his wife and children by his side.

Mike was born on August 18, 1942, in Bethany, Missouri to John Eugene and Juanita (Ross)

Klindt. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Mike spent his life on the family

farm in Bethany, his favorite place to be. Love of Christ and family were cornerstones in Mike's life.

First and foremost a farmer, claiming the farm was his first love, Mike also worked as a

Commercial Vehicle Inspector, a pilot, and a real estate broker. A student of all he did, Mike was

known for his quiet, careful, and contemplative nature. Always tinkering until he was a master of the

newest thing that piqued his interest.

In 1963 he met and married the other love of his life, Laura Goetz. For 62 years they shared a

beautiful life together with countless adventures. Mike and Laura welcomed children, John and Traci,

to complete their family. Being raised on the farm with many cousins gave them freedom to explore

and discover creating lifelong memories for them all.

From the moment Jesus captured his heart in 1972, Mike served the Lord faithfully. He shared

the good news of the gospel to kids in Sunday School, to teens in Youth for Christ groups, Missions

Outreach teams going worldwide, and most importantly to his family. A foundation of faith in Jesus

as Lord was the most important thing he ever gave his wife and children.

During the final days of his life, Mike was surrounded by family and friends who were devoted to

him and loved him dearly. He was comforted by stories, scripture, and hymns before going to be with

Jesus.

Armed with a warm, gentle, and inviting demeanor, Mike made friends wherever he went. Loyalty,

generosity, and humility were the essence of his spirit and made him beloved by so many. In the

days since his passing, Mike's family has been overwhelmed by messages of how much he meant to

those around him. He was the best of all of us.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John and Juanita Klindt. He is survived by his wife

Laura; son, John (Kate) Klindt and daughter, Traci (Greg) Manis; grandchildren, Taylor (Raymond)

Ashley, Devin (Mindy) Klindt, Erin Manis, Luke Manis, Reagan Manis, and Meygan Klindt; brothers,

Doug Klindt, David Klindt, Dan (Jean) Klindt, and sister, Ann (Michael) Murray; as well as many

cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, at the First Baptist Church,

Bethany, MO., under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive

friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to

the First Baptist Church, Bethany, MO in care of Roberson Funeral Home P.O. Box 46 Bethany, MO
