Michael Andrew Kneisly, 73, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025. Son of the late William A. and Janet (Hoffman) Kneisly, Mike was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on February 19, 1952. He was the loving husband of 49 years of Donna (Lang) Kneisly.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School (1970) in Martinsburg and Shepherd University (1975) in Shepherdstown, WV and spent 43 years of his career as a financial controller with Johnson Matthey, Inc.
Mike was the grill master at the St. Joseph Community Festival for many years, manning the grill and cooking hamburgers to feed thousands over the years.
He is survived by his children Andrew (Kate), Alyssa (Tom Brady) and Alexander, who will always remember him as someone who could "MacGyver" and fix anything. Mike will also be forever known as the most fun "Grandpa" to grandchildren Margot and Agnes Kneisly.
He is also survived by his brothers, James (Sharron Lampe), William (Connie), Thomas (Janet) and Christopher (Lori) and sisters, Rebecca Young and Barbara (Todd) Butts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:45 prior to Mass. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335.
