Michael Konjoian Obituary

Published by Driscoll Funeral Home & Cremation Service on May 31, 2016.
ANDOVER - Michael Konjoian of Andover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, days after his 88th birthday. He was born on May 21, 1928, second son of Anne and Michael Konjoian of Worcester. He died comfortably with family at his bedside. Michael married Vera Hagopian of Andover in 1938 and the young couple joined her parents Peter and Julia Hagopian on their Chandler Road farm in West Andover. He and Vera raised three sons, David, Peter, and Michael in a loving three generation home while operating the family farm. In 1960, Michael built his first greenhouse and together with his wife created a thriving flower business whose reputation achieved national recognition. More importantly, he and Vera created an amazing environment that drew all three of their sons back to the family business following college. Michael as the patriarch, was proudest to fulfill a dream of experiencing all three of his sons choosing to join their parents in business. David and wife Rosalie, Peter and wife Tama, and Michael have given their parents seven loving grandchildren Matthew, Brett, Jonathan, Bristol, Julianne, Jennifer, and Michael. Michael has witnessed the marriages of three of his beloved grandchildren welcoming Julie with Brett, Hal with Bristol, and Alexis with Matthew into his family. To date he has three great-grandchildren Margot, Eloise, and Bennett to further his legacy. Michael was a lifelong Mason receiving the honor of fifty years of membership. His grandchildren adore him, to his sons he is the perfect father, and his 68 years of marriage to Vera overflows with beautiful memories they created together. Michael was laid to rest on Saturday, June 4, in the Konjoian Family Lot of West Parish Cemetery, Andover. Contributions may be made in Michael's memory to Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114; or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
