Michael (Kos) Henry Koskiewicz, 74, passed away on October 8, 2024 in New Lenox, IL Born on April 17, 1950. Michael was known for his humorous, laidback, loving and kind nature.
Michael dedicated over 40 years of his life working as a mechanic at S&S II Bowling Alley, retiring in 2016. He had a passion for his hobbies, which included bowling, fishing, playing rummy, euchre, poker and cheering for the Chicago Cubs. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family. He leaves behind his beloved partner of 46 years, Sue Backhoff; dear sister, Sandy (Bob) Cialoni; loving family members William (Kristie) Backhoff, Peggy (Ted) Fox; papa to cherished grandchildren Jim (Theresa) Fox, Tyler (Ashley) Backhoff, Jake (Nikki) Backhoff, Kevin Fox and Lindsay Margaret Backhoff whom he adored as his very special hard working girl; precious great-grandchildren, Payden, Colt, Taw, Bennett, Logan, Rowan and Everett; nieces Stephanie (Brian) Meisenbach, Taryn (Gabe) Pantoja; nephew Robert Cialoni and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Henry Koskiewicz; mother Theresa (Karkut) Koskiewicz and brother, Leonard Koskiewicz.
Michael will be remembered for his easygoing personality and his profound ability to love and care for those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024 in the Spare Time room at S&S II Bowling alley from 1-4.
