Michael Krones

Michael Krones, 75, of Captain Cook, HI, passed away on August 16th, 2025, at home. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A master beekeeper, he founded Hawaiian Queen Co., Inc. in 1996 raising queen bees and producing honey. Most recently he also founded AvoLand, LLC, growing and shipping local avocadoes. His greatest love and life's work was farming. He never ceased to learn about and study the natural world and made it his purpose to care for it. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 10am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii with a graveside service to follow at 12noon at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa, Hawaii.
