Delorace Ann "Dee" Krones

On May 28, 2025, Delorace Krones, 80, passed away at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is preceded in death by two grandsons, Ryan Michael Bucheger and William Raymond Krones. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Duane Francis Krones and her 4 children Patrick (Ann), Monique (Kurt), Michelle (Rob), and Michael (Sarah).
She loved her 26 grandchildren: Debbie (Nick), Michelle, Patricia, Sean, PJ, Mellissa, Anniqa, Daniel (Heather), Cassie, Ryan, Kristen (Logan), Andrew, Aeron (Brittney), Brioni (Jon-Jon), Adam, Luisa, Ian, Aedric, Robert (Kelsey), Derek, Makayla, Krystal, Jane, Teddy, Sam, and William, plus 24 great-grandchildren:
Delorace was born in Caldwell, Idaho on July 27, 1944. She was the first child of 8 born to Paul E. Emmons and Phoebe R. (Saul) Emmons and is survived by her brother Eddie, and sisters, Kathy, and Donna (Jim) and brother-in-law, Daryl. She was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy (John), Mary, Paul (Janet), and Jerry (Brenda) and brother-in-law, David Blake.
Delorace and Duane settled in Colorado Springs after traveling all over Europe and the United States while Duane served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
As an active Girl Scout leader and Eagle Scout advisor for decades, Delorace helped 26 boys earn their Eagle Scout Awards. She was also an active and long-time member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church.
Delorace shared her love of scouting and genealogy with everyone she knew. Finding out new information about family members brought her joy. She taught several of her grandchildren to sew and excelled as a seamstress. Delorace also loved to cross stitch and made many beautiful handcrafted gifts to celebrate special occasions such as births, graduations & marriages.
Over the years, Delorace has made many friends from around the world. She will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Service and Memorial will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church at 4925 N. Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. Viewing & visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM with a Rosary at 10:30 AM.
