Michael D. Kruger, 43, of Granville passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. His funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon with Rev. Christopher Martin, officiating.

MICHAEL D. KRUGER
Michael David Kruger, the son of David and Janet (Gisi) Kruger was born on May 10, 1982, in Sheldon, Iowa. He received his education from Sheldon Schools and graduated from Sheldon High School in 2001. While in school he wrestled and played football making it to state. After high school he continued his education at NCC in the powerline program.
He first married Jeri Gobberson and to this union two daughters were born, Charlee and Chandler. On August 11, 2018, he later was united in marriage with the love of his life, CaSandra Shuck of Newcastle, Wyoming. His passion was team roping, fishing, and living life to the fullest. Mike enjoyed fishing trips with friends, and spent countless hours devoting his time to the rodeo trail. He took great pride in being self-employed and providing for his family.
Mike passed away surrounded by his loving friends and family on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center at the age of 43 years, 8 months and 3 days.
Mike was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. He was a very proud dad and was loved and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cassie Kruger; two daughters, Charlee and Chandler and two sons, Quint (Merridian) and Cort; his mother, Janet Kruger and father David and fiancé, Glenda Kreykes, brother Dan and his wife Alissa; mother and father-in-law, Jeffery and Sandra Shuck and brother-in-law, Cody Shuck; also nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Gwen Kruger and Clem and Darlene Gisi. Welcome home cowboy.
