Michael E. Kuna, age 72 of Fairborn passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2026. He was born April 5, 1953, the son of the late Jack and Amy J. Kuna. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother. James Kuna; sister-in-law, Joanna (Nina) Gatten; and grandson, Quentin Michael Donovan. Mike is survived by the love of his life of 39 years, Theresa Kuna; daughter, Melissa (Brian) Donovan; son, Christopher (Katie) Kuna; stepson, Chris (Kellye) Garcia; two stepdaughters, Amanda Garcia, Nikki Garcia; twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Dillon, CJ, Braxton, Trystan, Maleah, Rylan, Izabella, Reagan, Maddox, Rachel and Jordan; brother, John Kuna; sister, Patty (David) Mulkiten; brothers-in-law, Garry Fabian, Jim Gatten; sister-in-law, Virginia Trzakus; dear friends, Sally Hite and Tim Bausman; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He worked for MECO for over 30 years and had many colleagues along the way that turned into friends. Mike never knew a stranger, his gift of gab and outgoing personality made him instant friends with everyone he met. Always the life of the party, Mike had a story to tell. After hearing said story, you never knew how embellished that story may or may not have been. Mike loved life and tried his best to live it to the fullest with a big smile on his face. He loved his family immensely and was always the happiest when they were all together. Mike loved to play golf and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and UD Flyers. He could often be found soaking in the beautiful sunshine while in his pool or on the beach in sunny Florida with his Theresa, which was his happy place.
