Michael Phillip Kurtz, 27, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in Hardin County, KY. He was born May 23, 1995, in Kansas City, MO the son of John P. and Janice Swainston Kurtz. He was a construction worker and was a man with a huge heart and a free spirit. He was a kind, loving man and a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Edward Kurtz, Sr. and William and Elsie Swainston. He is survived by his beloved parents; a brother Christian Kurtz (Victoria) of Jeffersonville, IN. Funeral services will be at 6 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate. Visitation will from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

I will never forget all the amazing memories we shared. Everytime we hung out, even at work, you would make the best out of it like it was our last day on earth and make me smile even on my worst day's by getting me to laugh and telling me how proud you were of me for no reason. That's something that I will never find again with anyone else. I'm gonna miss you so damn much Mikey. I'm so blessed that we got to hangout recently before this. I also always found it amazing on how we would go weeks without seeing each other and as soon as you would pull up to my house or meet each other out with the guys, it would be like we never skipped a day. This life's not fair and God shouldn't have taken someone as amazing as you were away from us. I truly wish you had the chance to grow old together with the rest of the guys. I'm glad we got to share what childhood friend's we still had together. Memories I will cherish till my last breath. I'll never forget you buddy, I'll see you soon
