Michael Landers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J. Collins Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Dec. 9, 2025.
Mr. Michael "Jason" Landers, 55, of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at home surrounded by family.

Jason was born February 10, 1970 in Rome, GA, the son of the late Ladelle Landers, Sr. and the late Sharon Pilcher Landers. He was a 1988 graduate and football player (#53) of Villa Rica High School.

He was a Combat Veteran of the United States Marine Corps (2nd Recon Battalion/Charlie Co from 1994-1999). Combat deployments included Bosnia, Africa, Kosovo and Albania. His military service demonstrated his remarkable strength of character, commitment and unwavering loyalty to God, country and family.

Jason was personable, outgoing, always positive with a smile, and never met a stranger. He loved being on the greens playing golf, driving his jeep and being surrounded by his beloved pets. He had a love for military history and brought it to life through visiting historical sites. These adventures were not just about the places and history, but the moments shared and memories created along the way with his family and friends. He was best known by others through his career in Management at Food Depot, Ingles and Winn Dixie.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Lynn Pineda Landers of Douglasville, daughter, Sydney Morgan Landers of Douglasville, and eldest brother, Delle Landers, Jr. and sister-in-law, Jeymi Landers of New Port Richie, Florida.

In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. He will be missed by all who knew him.
