Michael L. Lang, Sr., age 68, passed away on Thursday October 16, 2025, at his home in Shawano. Michael was born on December 20, 1956, in Shawano to the late Bob and Alice (Owen) Lang. He attended Shawano High School then went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Army. Michael worked at Vlasic Pickles in Bonduel and Stone Creation in Shawano. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, having a good time, collecting knives, watching western movies and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Michael was a member of the Shawano American Legion Post #117.

Michael is survived by his sons, Brad (Casandra) Lang, Michael (Alyssa) Lang, Jr., Joseph (Alyssa) Lang and Creed Lang; and siblings, Sandra Knutson, Mitchell (Jamie) Lang and Joni (Bill) Clevenger. He is further survived by five nieces, other relatives and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Debra; and parents, Bob and Alice.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday October 25, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Burial will be held at Friendship Cemetery in the Town of Belle Plaine following the gathering. Military honors will be conducted by Shawano American Legion Post #117 at the cemetery.
