GLENMONT - Michael J. Lansing, Jr., 33, passed away December 29, 2023. He was the son of Michael Joseph Lansing and the late Karen Rose Lansing, brother of Kaitlin Rose Lansing Morton (twin), Kevin Maxwell Lansing, Christopher John Lansing, and Hannah Carolyn Lansing, uncle to Donovan Michael Morton, and Ireland Rose Morton (goddaughter), brother-in-law of Ameek Morton, and the significant other to Cassidy Lynn Scalzo, the love of his life.
Born in Albany, N.Y., on April 24, 1990. He came into this world with his twin Kaitlin, 46 minutes later. Michael attended Bethlehem Central High School and continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College. He dedicated his personal and professional life to the care of animals. He leaves behind many of his canine friends including his bestest boy, Rocko. He excelled in athletics particularly hockey. His toughness and slap shot were unmatched.
Michael was a beautiful, kind, funny, and compassionate human being who left an indelible impression on all those fortunate enough to know him during his time on earth. It is with the heaviest of hearts we say goodbye. We will always carry him with us. We love you very much, Michael.
Funeral Services Friday, January 5, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, N.Y. 12211, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
The Rite of Committal will be held in Memory Gardens, Colonie, N.Y., immediately following the Mass.
