Michael was known by the nickname Sterlet which was given to him by his oldest sister, Buss. Most of his friends and family call him Mike or Mass Sterlet.
Mr. Lawrence didn't have to ask for respect it was automatically given to him because of how he carried himself as a gentleman and how he treated everyone with kindness and love.
From a young age, he was known as a very hard working, generous, soft spoken, humble man. He did many different jobs tomake sure his family was taken care of but always had the mind of an entrepreneur.
Mike, was once the owner of International nurses his company where people he employed cared for the elderly. He was also a truck driver for covenant transport and other miscellaneous jobs but farming and being a mechanic were his two favorite work. He loved using his hands to make things beautiful.
Mike loved his wife Joyce Lawrence with whom he spent 44 years and loved all their children equally.
Together, they raised 5 children and birth a successful business called Bear Muffler and Brakes located in Bear DE.
His customers loved how he cared for them and taught them how to care for their vehicles, they lovingly called him teacher.
Michael is survived by his wife of 44 years Joyce Lawrence, his mother Zipporah Adylyn Kerr Lawrence , his children Beverley Northover, Ragien Lawrence, Michelle Pedraza and Donovan Lawrence.
His Grandchildren: Vernon Harris, Kenyana Northover, Haley Davis, Nichole Lawrence, Juleen Lawrence, Amelie Lawrence, Samu Lawrence. Sebastian Lawrence, Annabella Pedraza, Eva Pedraza, Elena Pedraza and One great grandson Kayden. Two sisters Evelyn Lawrence and Francella Shaw and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

It is amazing and we cannot thank you enough for your love and support. Our father was a wonderful man that lived by values that he instilled in us.
