Michael Lemmer, 36, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on December 2nd, 2024. Raised in Simi Valley, Michael spent his life enriching the lives of those around him with his kind heart, quick smile, and boundless enthusiasm.
From a young age, Michael’s love for hockey shone brightly. He played youth hockey, traveling across the country and making memories that lasted a lifetime. A devoted LA Kings fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team. Michael’s passion for sports extended beyond hockey—he was a die-hard Dodgers and Raiders fan, always proudly wearing his teams’ colors.
Michael’s hobbies reflected his vibrant personality. He had a talent for woodworking and a love for live music, attending countless concerts with his beloved wife, Kim. Together, they shared a deep connection, marrying during the pandemic in 2020 and reaffirming their vows earlier this year in front of God at St. Peter Claver Church.
As a stepfather, Michael was unwavering in his support of his stepson Evan, attending soccer and baseball games with pride and encouragement. His joy and pride in his stepson were unmatched, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer from the sidelines.
Michael had a passion for his work as an insurance broker. His gift for connecting with people allowed him to rise to a leadership role where he shared his knowledge and inspired others. Known for his big heart and willingness to help anyone in need, Michael made friends wherever he went.
Family was the cornerstone of Michael’s life. He cherished visits to Arizona to spend time with his parents Lori and Jon, his older brother Steven, sister-in-law Alex, and his adored nieces. He embraced his role as the “Funcle” (Fun Uncle), bringing laughter and joy to every family gathering.
Michael will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his love for his family and friends, and his passion for life. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Michael. Your heart, laughter, and love will forever remain in hearts of all who knew you.
