Michael Ray Lev, 57, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 in Houston. He was born October 24, 1955 the first born child of Daniel Anton Lev and Margaret Mary Anders Lev in Richmond. Michael attended Holy Rosary Catholic School when it first opened being part of the first graduating class of the school. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church-serving as an altar boy, the American Legion Post #271, Knights of Columbus, and KJT Society #90. Michael graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg where he had an opportunity to travel to France by working at his dad's Rose-Rich Barber Shop. He also graduated from Wharton County Junior College and attended the University of Houston. Michael started his career at Kroger at the age of 16 working his way up to Meat Market Manager also working some time as co-manager for several stores in the Houston area. Survivors include his parents, 4 children: Lynnette Nicole Lev, Brandon Michael Lev, Michelle Margaret Lev, Bradley Mitchell Lev, 7 siblings: Veronica Lev-Horelica, Patrick Lev and wife Kay, Paul Lev and wife Trichelle, Joseph Lev and wife Karen, Teresa Kuban and husband Donny, Thomas Lev and wife Deanna, and Jonathan Lev and wife Tammy, also survived by the mother of his 4 children, Helen Lev. God children, Andrea Horelica, Natasha Lev Hafer, Allana Lev, and Leslie Lev, along with 28 nieces and nephews, 1 great niece, and many other loving family members and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Father William Bartniski officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to help with medical expenses and funeral costs to the "Michael Ray Lev Memorial Fund" at any Amegy Bank or mail donations to Amegy Bank, 3400 Ave. H. Rosenberg, Tx 77471.
