Michael Anthony Lobato

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Anthony Lobato at the age of 20, far too soon on March 1, 2026. Michael grew up in Taos, NM and San Luis, CO. Mickey was the light in the lives of every one who knew him. Known for his sense of humor, his infectious laugh, his loyalty to his family, animals, and friends. Michael was determined to be a good father to his children. A protector of anyone he loved.  

Michael had an adventurous spirit and was always ready for the next adventure. His hobbies included fishing, hiking, exploring national parks, hunting, road trips, and an admiration for sunsets which was evident in several photos he took. Michael had a beautiful smile and will be truly missed by the many family and friends he had through out NM and CO.    

Michael is proceeded in death by his father Michael, grandmother Regina, cousin Ernesto, uncle Gene, greatgrandparents Eugene "Buddy" Lobato, Ernest and Mary Sandoval, and Mary Sanchez.

Mickey will be deeply missed by his children Eugene and Ehlani. The mother of his children, Marisol, his mother Esrellita, his step father Julian, siblings, Aniah, Serenity, and Jayden, grandparents Barbara and Edward, great grandmother Josie.  

Mikey had a special bond woth his uncle Gilbert and considered his cousins Remejio and Romelio his little brothers.  Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A rosary will be held on March 13, 2026 at 1pm at Sangre De Cristo Catholic church in San Luis, Colorado,  The mass of Christian burial will be held immediately after the rosary.  The internment will take place after the mass at the SanLuis cemetery in San Luis, Colorado.
