Michael Lopez Obituary
Michael Lopez, 70, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at his home. Born on May 9, 1955 in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Miguel and Dolores (Rivera) Lopez.
Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Michael pursued a Bachelor's Degree and devoted many years to the education sector as a valuable employee in the Attendance Office of the Bethlehem Area School District. Michael was a doting grandfather and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially Lyris, who held a special place in his heart. An avid lover of donuts and the simple pleasures in life, Michael looked forward to family vacations every summer in Atlantic City, where happy memories were made and laughter resonated.
Michael will be dearly missed by his wife of 36 years, Linda Y. Lopez; three children, Mikey Lopez, Gabriel Lopez, and Janette Lopez; three step-children, Oner Porrata, Aram Porrata, and Omar Porrata; brother, Eddie Lopez; four sisters, Margaret Lopez, Carmen Lopez, Brooklyn Lopez, and Evelyn Lopez; many grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Lyrics, Athena, Ramdus, Jr., and Lennox.
In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his two sisters, Maria and Norma; and brother, Frank.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Infancy Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. Entombment will conclude services at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
