I remember when Mr. Kish first came to Shawnee middle school. He took me fishing and tried to teach me basketball. Will always remember his kindness

Erica, I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing, my condolences and sympathies to you Mike. I remember the day that he hired. He called me and asked if I wanted a job, and of course I said yes, he said come on down and fill out an application, I went to his office and he hired me on the spot, I did not fill out an application.

I am very familiar with Mr. Kish´s silent lunches. I had a particularly bad lunch period so we spent a lot of time there. I am a 2000 graduate of Easton and now when my own teenager comes home with lunch stories, I find myself saying that school needs a Mr. Kish. During those silent lunches, I got into reading. Which has carried with me still to this day. I take a book wherever I go because of Joe Kish and I was a great student in school and in college because of the things I learned from him. Fly high Mr. Kish. Thank you for the memories and the ice cream money.
