Michael Carnell Lucas was born April 7, 1995 in Perryton, Texas to Monica and Justin Lucas. He attended school in Cherokee, Oklahoma and graduated in 2013. He joined the U.S. Army as a field artillery mechanic in 2014. Michael loved being a mechanic. He was constantly working on his own vehicles as well as his friends’ vehicles. He was always up for a trip to the farm with his dad and papa. Michael was always willing and able to help anyone who needed it. December 14, 2017 he married the love of his life, Ariel Graham, and they had a beautiful baby girl, McKinley, in August of 2018. He was an amazing daddy and always eager to play whatever game McKinley wanted to play. When he wasn’t fixing a broken vehicle, he enjoyed watching football and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He liked having a cold beer with his buddies after a hard day at work. Michael loved spending time with his brothers. Whether it was playing poker, playing a game on the Xbox, or sitting around watching tv, they always had a good time. During his time in the U.S. Army Michael achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He took great care of his soldiers and was willing to teach anyone. If there was work to be done, Michael was right alongside his soldiers making sure the job was done right. Saying he will be missed is an understatement.
Michael is survived by his wife, Ariel of Cherokee; daughter, McKinley of Cherokee; mom and dad, Monica and Justin of Cherokee; brother, Trevor of Helena; brother, Declyn of Cherokee, and many more family and friends.
