I'm shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's passing. I took virtual guitar lessons from him during the pandemic. I looked forward to our weekly lessons as Mike was a very accomplished guitarist and a gifted teacher who had a LOT of patience. I also enjoyed the conversations we had and hearing about his education in LA and the musical greats he met and/or had as instructors. I want to extend my deepest condolences to Mike's family and loved ones, and hope they can take some comfort knowing the impact he had on his many students who will remember him fondly.

Mr. Macchia started teaching my son guitar lessons virtually during the pandemic and brought such passion about music being so important to our lives. Teaching virtually for about 8 months must not have been easy but he made it fun and exciting for my son and they were finally able to be in person for just over a year. Mr. Macchia gave my son not only music education but the confidence he needed to continue to learn. My son always looked forward to their time together and we are so very sorry to learn of his sudden passing. May God bless him and your family and may he rest in peace.

I can picture him with his wide grin and hear his masterful wit clear as the day- our years together as Forecast provided the musical sound track for the rest of our lives... may the music never stop and those who hear it as I do now, who picture him with guitar in hand on stage, take his rhythm and grin along with as we remember our time with a sad but joyful grin right back to him...with a found farewell, cappy/ almighty...Tim
