Michael Troy Maddox, of Aransas Pass TX, left this world on Christmas Eve, 2025. Troy was born on January 11th, 1957 to James Terry Maddox Jr. & Ruth Gandy Maddox in Taft, TX. Troy graduated from Aransas Pass High School in 1975. He later became a father to a daughter named Ursula and a proud pawpaw to her children.
He received multiple awards for his art work & science fiction poetry, and was featured in several galleries. Due to his influence, he is deeply remembered by those who were personally inspired to express themselves through art.
He often performed as the lead singer of his band "The WaWa Monkeys." He also spent time scratching records at "Little Bob's," which was located down the road from Marine Propeller Works, where Troy worked as a dedicated employee for most of his life.

He is survived by family, His daughter Ursula Richardson. His grandchildren Reese Richardson, and Dylan Maddox; his brother William Todd Maddox, his nieces Kaci Maddox and husband Richard García, and Haley Maddox, great nieces and nephews Brooklyn Maddox, Atticus Vieira, Lenny Garcia, and Texas Maddox & family friend Ruth Williams.
