Michael Philip Marrella, affectionately known as "Nunu" to his loved ones, was born on February 27, 1956, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The world lost a unique soul when Michael passed away on April 17, 2024. A loving father, dedicated grandfather, and thoughtful friend, Michael was an irreplaceable presence in the lives of those who knew him. A man of many hobbies, he was known for his love of anything with wheels, trap shooting at the Leominster Rod and Gun Club, and for the legendary tomato sauce he loved to make. His dinners with friends, known as "The Summit Meetings," was a classic demonstration of his love for camaraderie and good food.

Michael was a man who prioritized the things that matter most in life: family and friends. He cherished his four children, Julianne Kearney, Steven Marrella, Katelyn Martinez and Husband Ardes, and Rachael Marrella. His love for his grandchildren, Allison Kearney, Eva Marrella, Brady Kearney, Amelia Martinez, and Xavier Martinez, was unparalleled. He was always there to spoil them with love and affection, creating precious memories that they will always hold dear. Michael is also survived by former wife and mother of his children, Gail Marrella. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Onofrio and Filomena Marrella, and his brother, Thomas Marrella.

We invite all who knew and loved Michael to share their favorite memories and photos of him on the memorial page. Your stories will help us all remember the funny, loving, and thoughtful man who touched our lives in countless ways.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Mike for a period of visitation on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Brandon Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place promptly at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
