Michael Joseph Marro, born on October 9, 1942, in New York, passed away on November 25, 2024. A devoted family man and respected community member, Michael's life was marked by service, compassion, and dedication.

After beginning his career in construction, Michael found profound fulfillment in working with special needs students for over a decade. This commitment to improving the lives of others highlighted his generous spirit. He served honorably in the Marines during the Vietnam War, demonstrating the courage and discipline that became hallmarks of his character.

Michael was known for his unwavering kindness; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone he could. His persistence, determination, and goal-oriented mindset inspired those around him. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his granddaughters, Juliana Bezer, Sabrina Bezer, and Ella Marro.

In his leisure time, Michael found joy in fishing, visits to the beach, and various games, notably chess and pool. These hobbies provided him with a sense of peace and happiness, reflecting his love for life and the connections he valued.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Marro; his son, Michael David Marro; his daughter, Christine Bezer and Larkin Marro. He leaves behind a legacy of love and service, cherished memories with his family, and a community that will remember him fondly.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Anthony and Grace Marro, who undoubtedly helped shape the man he became.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Raymer - Kepner in Huntersville, North Carolina. A memorial service will follow on Monday December 2, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM.

Michael Joseph Marro will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit of kindness and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
