Michael Martinez Obituary
MARTINEZ - Michael M. - age 67 of Flint, passed away on August 9, 2025 at McLaren Hospital. The family will receive guests from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. At 4:00 PM on Sunday, there will be a time of sharing memories - everyone attending is encouraged to wear maize & blue to honor Michael's passion for the University of Michigan. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions in memory of Michael to the family or to the Old Newsboys (www.onbflint.org).
Michael was born on December 15, 1957 in Flint, Michigan to the late Homer and Monica Louise (Grifford) Martinez. He graduated from Beecher High School and then begin working in Skilled Trades for General Motors until his retirement in 2024. Michael was a hobby enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and he was a big fan of the University of Michigan - especially their football team
Surviving is his wife, Tammy. Children, Michael (Rachael) Martinez of Clio; Kristi Morris of Burton; Robert (Brooke) Morris of Owensboro, KY; Meiko Marie of Davison. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Siblings, Pamela Richardson; Louis (Brenda) Martinez; Michele (Robert) Masserant. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mitchell.
