Michael J. Martyn

Michael J. Martyn, age 63, passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2025 in Westchester County. He was born on December 9th, 1961 in New York City to Eileen and Michael Martyn. Resided most of his life in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He is survived by his brothers Rick and his wife Margurite, and Kevin and his wife Eileen; his nephews Patrick, Thomas, and Jack; and his niece Klancie. He is also survived by his many cousins, including Anna, who was his guardian angel and lovingly cared for him this past year during his battle with cancer.

Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and his ever-present smile. He had a deep passion for reading and sports, was an avid Jets and Yankees fan, and loved to travel, especially to Ireland to visit family. He loved the horses, and could always be counted on for a winner! He never passed up a chance for a fishing trip or a visit to the casino-two things he always enjoyed.

He dedicated over 30 years to the security and facility management team at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where he touched countless lives with his big smile, generous spirit, and unwavering willingness to help whenever needed.

Reposing will be held on Sunday, November 23rd, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 24th at 9:45 AM at St. Margaret of Cortona Church 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY 10471. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Hawthorne, NY.
