Michael K. Mason, born on April 9, 1957, in Virginia, passed unexpectedly and peacefully at his home in Temecula, California, on January 3, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend whose impact will resonate deeply within the hearts of those who knew him.

Michael's life was characterized by his dedication to his family, many friends, his acts of kindness and a servants heart. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Mason, his cherished daughter, Jessica Mason, stepsons Sean and Jason Duvall. Michael is also survived by his devoted sisters, Kristi Mason-Cudd of Virginia and Teresa Vaughan of Nebraska, nephew, Francisco Rios, Jr., nieces, Krista Benningfield, Keeley and Kassidy Vaughan, and a great niece and nephews. Extended family Cindy's daughter Tami Popa and her family including Granddaughters, Bella Popa and Ariana Popa and children. Throughout his life, he demonstrated an enduring commitment to nurturing close relationships that encompassed support, kindness, integrity and love. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and as a faithful servant.

Mike graduated from Broad Run High School in Loudoun, Virginia, attended Mars Hill College in North Carolina before the family made the journey across country, settling in Temecula.  Mike then went on to graduated from Cal-Poly in Pamona.

Mike served on many professional and non-profits boards and committees. He created his company, Mason Real Estate, he was a founding member of the iBrokers Forum, served on several committees for the Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors, including State Director for the California Association of Realtors representing South West Riverside County, Professional Grievance Committees, Council of Residential Specialists, and so much more...

Mike was the guy! He served, always with a smile, his family, church, and community in so many ways, including a past president for the Rotary Club of Old Town Temecula, Group Leader for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (R.Y.L.A.), Community Mission of Hope, Toastmasters, Singles Plus Passion Ministries, active volunteer for Project TOUCH (homeless advocate program), supporter of Rock Your Red and M.A.H.L.Y.,  led Divorce Care for Kids, to name a few.

As much of us know, Mike loved family, the outdoors (and his Plaid Flannels!!) He grew up water skiing, camping, and  was a member of the RCC hiking Ministry, member and volunteer of the Santa Rosa Plateau Nature Education Foundation, where he lead educational hikes to the Moreno and Machado adobes.

He was predeceased by his parents, Earl T. Mason Jr. and Ramona L. Mason, who instilled in him values that shaped his character and led him to be the remarkable individual he was.

There are not enough words to express the magnitude of the POSITIVE & LOVING imprint Mike has left in 68 years  on this earth as a Father, Brother, Husband, Friend and servant for all that is good!!

Words of encouragement "LIVE LIKE MIKE"  __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
