Michael Mathews Obituary
Michael was a graduate of Conroe High School Class of 1980. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, and treasured the days he spent fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and loved ones.
Michael is survived by his loving family: parents, Jesse and Elke Mathews; the mothers of his children, Diane De La Vega, Lisa Mathews and Diyana Mathews; his three children, Trenton Mathews, Alyssa Mathews and husband, Schuyler Cottrell and Ryan Mathews; his step-son, Brian Nichols and wife, Kaitylyn Fick; his grandchildren, Cason Bobby, Jaxon Bobby and Caroline Nichols. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Mathews and his sister, Melissa Oatis and family, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. https://www.mcaspets.org/
