August 1, 2023 Michael "Todd" Maynard, 56, of Washington, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home. Early that morning, the angels ushered him home to heaven. Todd's love of life was only shadowed by his love of family. Todd's long fight with cancer showed his courage and strength in facing life with a smile. Despite the pain, Todd remained our Superman and stayed strong until the end.
He could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. A most special place in his heart and favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies were hunting and fishing (nicknamed Big Fish because of the big fish he caught every time) and he loved cruises to the Caribbean with his family. Todd was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and was "Johnny-on-the-Spot" whenever needed. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences - he could fix or build anything.
Todd is survived by the love of his life and wife, Lori Ann. He is also survived by his three children: Courtney Ann and husband Ryan, Malori Ann and husband Austin, and Michael "Hunter" and wife Chirstina. He is also survived by his two grandchildren: Grayson Michael and Liam Todd and by his mother, Kay.
He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
In typical Todd fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur with details at a later date.
