Michael B. McCurry SR, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on June 19, 2023. Michael was born to the late William & Faye McCurry, on June 12, 1947, in Indianapolis. Michael graduated from Manual High School in 1965. He went on to marry his wife, Sharon, of 37 years in 1985. Michael had a generous heart and infectious sense of humor. After he retired, he spent his time doing the things he loved the most. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, video poker and bingo. Not to mention, he was pretty much untouchable with a good game of cornhole and game shows. Additionally, Michael was an avid sports fan. He was particularly partial to his IU and Indianapolis Colts teams. Michael very much loved his time spent with his family and especially, his grandchildren. It has been said that “his hands were made for holding babies”.
Michael is survived by his loving wife; Sharon McCurry, children; Michael B. (Tracie) McCurry Jr., Scott A. (Cathy) McCurry, Jeffrey (Laura) Suding, Julie (Michael) Ferguson and Tracey (Pat) Michael, grandchildren; Joshua, Megan, Zachary, Rachel, Max, Marc, Keegan, Evan, Wyatt, Chelsie, Ashley, Brian and Kevin. great-grandchildren; Brendan, Charles, Finn, Lyric, Chloe, Kendra and Kaylee, brothers; William and Stephen McCurry, sister; Millicent Stiefler.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Robert McCurry.
Michael’s Life Celebration® Memorial Gathering and Funeral Service will be held at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46237. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2023, 2 to 4 p.m., with the service following at 4 p.m. Visit www.OrileyBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.

So sorry i missed Mike´s wake! Just saw his obit Saturday, 8th of july!
I grew up across the street from him on Tabor st!
Mike always had a great sense of humor and was the best football player around!
