Michael Earl McKinney

A funeral service for Michael Earl McKinney, age 78 of Anniston, Alabama will be at 2:30 pm, Friday, November 15 at Church of the Cross in Anniston with Rev. Matt Blair and Rev. Ken Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time at the church. Mike went to be with our heavenly Father on November 9, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Mike is survived by his wife, Patsy; children, Caleb (Elizabeth) McKinney, Matt (Bethany) Blair, Kim (Jeff) Peterson, Chris (Kim) McKinney; grandchildren, Joanna, Lucy, Evie, & Annabel Blair, Brayden Peterson, Baileigh & Dayton Gibson, Jacob & Gavin McKinney. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Teddi (Ricky) Ford and Jeanette (Tater) Sims; and nieces and nephews, Buddy Wayne Ford, Buffi Stokes, Boki Burke, Heather Noah, Josh, Zach & Tommy Daniel, Greg Sims as well as his sister-in-law, Angela (Jeff) Nisbett. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; Jean & Porter McKinney. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff and doctors at RMC, who gave such attentive care to Mike and his family during his days there. They would also like to thank their many friends, family, and church for their continued support, love, and prayers. Mike was a long time employee of Pollock Motor Company. He retired from Cane Creek Golf Course with the City of Anniston in 2024. He loved the Lord and was a member of Church of the Cross. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching Alabama football and had a great sense of humor. He loved his many friends and family dearly. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
